Who is Brandon Sherrod?
Brandon Sherrod was the 2010 Connecticut Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior at Stratford High School. He was also named the CHSCA and New Haven Register State Player of the Year in 2010. As a two-time all-state selection, Sherrod Averaged 16 points, 14.5 rebounds and six blocks as a senior. He also recorded six triple doubles and holds the Stratford High School record for blocked shots.
Upon leaving Stratford High School, he helped lead Choate to the NEPSAC Class A championship continuing his winning legacy from two state championships won at Stratford High. This includes a school-record 46 straight league victories. In 2016 Sherrod helped Yale to its first Ivy League Championship since 1964 and assisted in bringing home the program’s first victory in the NCAA tournament ever. As a senior Sherrod was a 1st Team All-Ivy selection and set the NCAA Division-1 all-time record for most consecutive field goals made (30). Since college, he has enjoyed a 6-year career playing professional basketball overseas in Italy, Finland and Israel. He plans to someday return to his hometown of Bridgeport, Connecticut to run for mayor.

Who is Julian Sanders?
Julian Sanders was a 3 year varsity player and senior captain at Trumbull High School. After graduating, Julian took his talents to Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT where he led the Falcons to 4 GNAC Conference Championships and an NCAA Division-3 Sweet Sixteen berth in 2014.
After graduating with a degree in Sanders decided to begin his coaching career. Since 2016 Sanders has coached for Hand High School 2016-2018 (Madison, CT), Sacred Heart High School 2019-2021 (Waterbury, CT), and most recently - Sacred Heart Academy 2021-2022 (Hamden, CT). During the most recent coaching stint helped guide Sacred Heart Academy to the Class M State Championship.
During the offseason Sanders is a head coach for the CT Starters AAU program based in Connecticut. He is also a prolific skills trainer that has worked with players of every level including Joshua Reaves (Mount Saint Mary’s), Brian Fitzpatrick (Ukraine, Uruguay), Brandon Sherrod (Israel Leumit League), Donovan Clingann (UCONN) & Billy McDonald (Spain LEB Silver).
